Newton Aycliffe will welcome Hartlepool Utd to Moore Lane on Tuesday 9th July (kick off 7:30pm) for a pre-season friendly. Pools are managed by former Middlesbrough star Craig Hignett & finished 16th in the National League last season. The National League (formerly known as the Conference) is 4 divisions higher than the Ebac Northern League Division One where Aycliffe play their football.
Hartlepool recently awarded goalkeeper Brad Young his first professional contract. 17 year old Brad impressed in the few games he played on loan to Aycliffe from Hartlepool last season & everyone at Moore Lane is delighted to see his hard work rewarded.
The Hartlepool game will be free to Aycliffe season ticket holders. This year’s season tickets are now on sale, priced at £100 for adults & £60 for concessions. With the Northern League increasing to 20 teams this season Aycliffe has once again frozen prices. Season tickets can be purchased from the Sports Club on Saturday 22 & 29 June between 1 & 3pm and also Tuesday 18 & 25 June between 7:30 & 9pm.
