Assistant Cook at Aycliffe Care Home, Tina Davies, had her head shaved to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Care. Tina raised £150 and Julie Bialek, social life facilitator said “I am delighted that staff and friends and family got behind Tina and supported her”.
Tina has worked at the home for nearly 12 years and personally felt the impact of cancer through her relatives. When thinking of a way to raise money for charity Tina jumped at the opportunity to do something for Macmillan.
She was very brave and we would all like to say a big well done to her alongside Sam Tedder of Roots Hairdressing who came to do the hair cut free.
