Hair is a competitive, amateur hairstyling series which aired on BBC 3 earlier this year, presented by Steve Jones. Industry professionals Alain Pichon and Denise McAdam judge the competition.
Each week contestants will be given a number of technical and creative style-based challenges, designed to help test and develop their hairstyling skills.
This year the programme is moving to BBC Two, and we are looking for people with a wide variety of occupations, backgrounds and talents to take part.
We would love to reach out to hairdressing students and salon juniors, as well as those with no formal training or background in hairdressing.
We’d love to hear from passionate and talented, amateur stylists who think they could cut it in the competition. Perhaps you’ve been dishing out freebie haircuts to family and friends for years, or hair has always been your hobby but you’ve followed a different career path?
There are no qualifications necessary to take part, but applicants must not have completed an NVQ Level 2 or VRQ Level 2 in Hairdressing.
