Saturday, 22nd September, 2012 will mark a day of fun to celebrate 100 years since the opening of Hackworth Park in Shildon.
The event will start at 10.30am until 4.00pm with many attractions including a Fun Fair, Falconry Display, Farmyard Bus, Climbing Wall, Punch & Judy, Fire Engine, Bee Demonstration Hive, History Marquee featuring proddy mat making, lace making, Beamish Museum plus much more.
There will also be a chance to see local schools and groups performing song and dance through the ages and to listen to the Lanchester Brass Band and Salvation Army Band. Also performing will be Pantastic Steel Band and the Bishop Auckland and District Pipes and Drums.
