Sue visited every class at St. Joseph’s School this week with her guide dog Toby. Sue had a brain tumour which caused her to have a stroke and as a result she has limited double vision.
She was matched to Toby based on her walking speed, height and weight.
She talked to the children how Toby keeps her safe, how they train the guide dogs and that it costs £5.00 per day to support each working guide dog partnership. The School Council will be raising money in the summer term to support this worthwhile cause.
