Coming Soon to Middridge – speed awareness sculptures created by Greenfield Community College students in the Summer holidays. Funded by GAMP AAP and sponsored by Newton News, they are soon to be displayed in Middridge to help promote speed awareness through the village.
Artist Vicky Holborough worked with the Transition Summer School participants from Greenfield Community College to look at the effects of speeding in the local area and how road safety awareness could be improved. The young people created warning signs which will be displayed alongside the sculptures, which were modelled on various people from the community including PCSO Hutchinson.
