After Greenfield’s U14 boys badminton team qualified through to the County Finals at Bishop Barrington last week., it was the turn of the U16 Secondary School squads to battle it out on Thursday 12th December at Greenfield Community College. This event was run by Sedgefield School Sports Partnership and was a fantastic evening of competitive badminton.
Both of Greenfields U16 teams played some outstanding badminton, and were unbeaten in their section, However, both teams eventually lost 2 -1 in the final to Sedgefield Sports College and finished in silver medal position.
Greenfield U16 teams are both looking forward to next year as most of them are still in Yr 10, and training hard every Thursday & Monday to achieve their ambition to make the County Finals next year. Well done.
