Twenty of Greenfield Community College’s sports leaders were invited to attend the County Durham Leadership Academy event to celebrate their achievements in volunteering and sport leadership last week.
Greenfield’s sports leaders have worked hard all year, organising, running and competing in events across the county. They have supported their peers and encouraged younger sports enthusiasts at a number of primary school events. All those invited to this celebration have reached 50, 100 or 200 hours of volunteering – a fantastic achievement!
The evening was presented by Katie Gornall BBC sports presenter and guest speaker Dave Parnaby, Middlebrough’s Academy manager. It was a great way to celebrate the achievement of all the sports leaders across the county, we are pleased that so many of Greenfield’s young sportsmen and women were honoured at the event.
