Congratulations to Sinead Hinton and Ben Maxfield who celebrated their achievement of five years without absence from Greenfield Community College. Executive Headteacher, Mr Priestley and Assistant Headteacher, Mrs Stubbs joined them at Durham County Cricket Club to see them receive their well-deserved award and to add their congratulations to recognise their excellent achievement.
The evening has become a regular date in the diary for Greenfield students who have shown commitment and resilience throughout their five years at school – qualities that will prepare them as they continue their journey through education and employment.
Ian Shanks of Children and Young People’s Services congratulated the students in a letter to the school, “On behalf of the Corporate Director of Children and Young People’s Services and other colleagues, may I thank you for the contribution you and your staff have made to the Local Authority’s priority on raising attendance. These students can be held up as an example both to their peers and successors and we hope to see more students from your school receiving awards in subsequent years”.
Staff at Greenfield Community College are committed to raising aspirations and recognising achievements of each and every young person and would like to add their congratulations to Sinead and Ben for their hard work and commitment throughout their time at Greenfield. Well done!
