Staff and Pupils at Greenfield College were pleased this week to hear they have been awarded “Arts Mark Gold” by Trinity College London. Arts Mark is an Arts Council programme that enables schools to celebrate, strengthen and evaluate their arts provision – receiving the award is recognition for the quality of the school’s excellence in arts and cultural provision.
The assessor for the award, who visited school recently, made a range of positive comments about Greenfield, mentioning the high quality of the arts activities both in school and for the community, and praised staff and students for their commitment to the use of the Arts across the curriculum.
Katy Milne, Director of Arts and Creativity at Greenfield said “It is great to be acknowledged for all of the creative and artistic programmes we offer here at Greenfield, both in school and in the Arts Centre, especially the comments from the assessor praising how the Arts is embedded in the ethos of the school and community in the area.
We look forward to continuing this excellence through the plans and programmes we have planned.”
This is the fourth time Greenfield Community College has achieved this award and we are proud that the Arts both in school and in the community continue to be acknowledged and celebrated in this way.
