The staff and children at Sugar Hill primary school wish to thank Suzy Pengkerego for her brilliant work on designing and creating a beautiful new centrepiece display for the main school entrance.
Suzy spent 8 weeks in the school encouraging all children in Key Stage 2 to sew a button on to the tree which forms part of the Sugar Hill emblem. Each child also took time to design their own shield and Suzy then took home one shield from each class to make them into textiles for adding to the display’s border detail.
The results, as can be seen, are astonishing and the centrepiece is something that will certainly impress and welcome visitors to the school for many years to come.
Thanks also to Miss Smith’s mum, and to the children, for bringing in buttons for the display.
