Greenfield Arts are delighted to be hosting an innovative and exciting exhibition. ‘With or Without’ by Elaine Vizor.
The exhibition has evoked a wonderful response from those who have visited The Greenfield Gallery so far. The collection demonstrates different ways of capturing light, with or without a camera, and is in two contrasting parts.
Elaine’s cyanotype work showcases the first form of photography and includes a poignant selection of work completed during lockdown. Here are just a few of the many comments so far that have recognised the quality of the collection.
“An outstanding exhibition! Had no idea about the forerunner to the camera…exquisite”;
“Fascinating, original; Wonderful thought-provoking cyanotypes, very moving…”
Elaine has been involved in a creative programme of activities that have been inspired by her artwork and has been sharing her expertise and creativity in workshops. There is also an element of engagement within the exhibition itself as Elaine invites you to share ‘what you have missed the most’ over recent times, set off by a clever cyanotype installation representing the movers and shakers during coronavirus.
With or Without includes a selection of night photography images and you can join Elaine for an evening walk in November to capture your own ‘light in darkness’. The event costs just £5 and will include a short talk from the artist.
The exhibition will run until Wednesday 27th October and should not be missed, to find out more visit our website where you can see more about the programme of activity inspired by Elaine’s work and sign up to our monthly newsletter.
