Emily Cook Nicholson is a 12 year old from Newton Aycliffe who received the devastating news she is suffering from an aggressive tumour.
Since being diagnosed Emily and her family are receiving support from all sections of the community and money is being raised to help Emily face her treatment and enjoy some good times with her family.
“Team Emily” has been set up by a group called “The Purple Ladies” and they along with the Zombie Trikers, organised a Fun Day at the Dog Inn, near Heighington which the Mayor and Mayoress, Jed and Wendy Hillary attended
They have already raised £2000 for the family and a further £2000 was raised at a Party Night held at the RAFA Club.
Honest John has also donated £1,000 to the fund and support is ongoing including a collection at Tesco’s where contributions can be made.
