ACORN Residents’ Association made a visit to the Forbidden Corner on 6th September, taking pensioners, children and families from the community on a fantastic day out.
From wood carvings, frog fountains and Glass Mountains we found lots to see and everyone had a great laugh. Water seemed to spring from everywhere accompanied by the sound of delighted children chuckling as their parents/ grandparents got soaked by the hidden water jets and sprays.
Another brilliant day out organised by ACORN and supported by the Big Lottery awards for all fund. Special thanks to Mel from J&C Coaches for getting us there and back safe and sound.
Next adventure is Beamish Museum on the agricultural show weekend organised for September 21st. A limited number of tickets are still available at £8 each and £3 for children under 3 years old.
