Staff at Linde Castle Ltd helped in the fight against cancer by supporting the Macmillan Coffee Morning, held on the 9th September, at their facility on Aycliffe Business Park. Staff worked hard baking delicious cakes, and rivalry was strong for the accolade of the best cake. No coffee morning would be complete without a ‘guess the number of spots on the cake’ competition, which was duly completed. As a result, staff raised an excellent £302 to support the Macmillan charity. In addition, Workshop Engineer Tom Parkin took part in the London Triathlon, also in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and raised a magnificent £850. Ian Dolman, Managing Director, said ‘Denise Facey, Sales Administrator, who championed the event put a tremendous amount of time and effort into arranging it to achieve a successful result for Macmillan, and a morning enjoyed by all those staff that took part’.
