After reading over three weeks about the theft and removal of memorial items from graves at West Park Cemetery we visited our Mother’s grave at Stephenson Way.
She recently passed away so we were devastated to find memorial items and even flowers had been taken away, but luckily just removed and left elsewhere.
The people who do this are the lowest of the low and must be sick to vandalise and steal from graves. It is exttremely distressing for families who are suffering from the loss of a loved one
These offences must stop and the persons responsuible identified and prosecuted. I urge the Town Council to take action.

The Police contacted Newton News to inform us two suspects have been arrested in connection with the cemetery thefts and a number of stolen items from the graves have been recovered.
