On Thursday 21st November five pupils from Greenfield Community College attended the Olympic Roadshow at Newcastle Racecourse. This was a national event set to build on the magic and power of the Olympic and Paralympic Games by inspiring young people to make a positive change in their communities.
The team met athletes and other teams from the North East, learning how to organise and run community projects and events inspired by the Olympic and Paralympic Values.  As Greenfield currently offer so much in relation to sports leadership and clubs in the community, our students were more than prepared to become legacy leaders.  They were lucky enough to try a range of activities, meet two Olympic medallists and to learn skills and techniques in their training to bring back to Greenfield.
The students were a credit to the school, and are very excited to be part of this national event. This will surely put Greenfield on the map to show our commitment to the ongoing Olympic and Paralympic Legacy.
