I have lived in Newton Aycliffe for 48 years, serving on Great Aycliffe Town Council for Neville Ward for the past ten years.
Living in the ward for 14 years, I know what the resident’s need from a candidate. I have worked hard for the Neville Ward over the last decade, working with residents and tackling local issues to help and impove the ward. I have worked with them and spoke up against the closing of Shafto House and supported the families who didn’t want it to close.
I also went up against the proposal of the Sunderland Homes when they wanted to turn it into a rehabilitation centre for young people with problems, supporting local residents – which in turn gave us much needed affordable homes instead.
As an Independent Councillor I wish to continue as your representative and will do my best for the Neville Ward as I have in the past with your support and help.
I am standing for the Parish position only, so I have more time to support the needs of the Neville Ward.
If you vote for me on 3rd May I will not let you down.
