Dear Sir,
I would like to make people aware, especially the elderly, to not let people you do not know do any gardening.
A frail lady, who doesn’t want her name mentioned, had two people walk into her garden and offered to cut her hedge, she asked them how much it would cost and they agreed on a price of £200, so she let them do it because she has a large garden and thought the price was reasonable.
When they had finished, she asked what she owed them and they replied with £450.00. Feeling a bit intimidated she scraped together the money to pay them.
Please be aware, if this happens to you, lock your door and call the police.
Also be aware of these nasty people, who would take advantage of a frail elderly lady, it makes my blood boil.
