A team from Year 8 at Woodham Academy are currently taking part in the of Future Business Magnates competition. Future Business Magnates is a fun competition with an important business message and opportunity. It was launched in 2005 by the late and much loved Sir Bobby Robson and is celebrating its 10th year. The theme this year is Light. This year the number of entrants has risen to 24 schools
The students will be introduced to the excitement and challenges of working in business which will broaden their understanding and knowledge of jobs roles and functions. It will also develop their communication, presentation and research skills as they complete tasks set. A named employee, who is Hitachi, will act as mentor and will take phone calls and emails from students, offer advice and guidance, and contribute directly to the delivery of the team’s Business Proposal and Challenge submissions.
