Spring for a Year is an initiative launched by Localgiving.com and County Durham Community Foundation to help charities and community groups grow throughout the year, with monthly donations in County Durham matched by up to £10/month for a year.
A match fund of £40,000 donated anonymously and exclusively for groups in County Durham and Darlington is being used to match donations. This is the biggest pot of money available across all of the community foundations.
The aim is to help local charities and community groups to grow all year around, so in 2013 it’ll be ‘Spring for a Year’!
As a supporter, people can use Localgiving.com to search for and make donations to eligible local charities that make a difference in their community. Pledging to give a small amount each month makes a huge difference to the charities’ ability to continue the great work they do.
This is a great opportunity to start giving to a charity or community group which supports a cause close to your heart – simply do a search on localgiving.com and set up your giving, and it will be matched at £10 a month for a year.
The campaign will end at midday on 3rd May 2013 or when the pot runs out – whichever is sooner.
