Full STEM Ahead 2016 In conjunction with ‘Big Bang near you’ North East 2016

All schools in the Aycliffe area are invited to the second Full STEM Ahead 2016. This is a one day event to promote and improve the STEM awareness in an interactive and fun way.
It is to be held at The Xcel Centre on Aycliffe Business Park DL5 6AP on the 18th July from 9.15 – 3.15.

Free travel is offered to and from the event which will feature 22 interactive and fun activities including:
Various VEX Robotics challenges
3D Printing
3D scanning
F1 Challenge track race
Mission to Mars
Inspiron Oil to Shampoo activity
Sub Sea ROV Display
Crumble
Build your own Raspberry Pi
BBC Micro: bit presentation
Planetarium
22 Local businesses are involved, 6 Universities and Colleges, 2 Local Training Providers. The Royal Institute of Engineering The REME and the Foundation of Light are also in attendance.
