Who would have thought that jail could ever be something that people would want to enter, even if the alternative is freezing fog?
Well, for the friends and families of Greenfield students the notorious ‘Penmore Place’ certainly was the place to be!
In front of a packed audience on both nights plus a matinee crowd of primary school students, Greenfield students strutted their stuff with their very own jailhouse rock!
Original singing, dancing, music and drama filled the stage for almost two hours, captivating more than just the inmates of the fictitious jail.
A huge group of students and staff from across the year groups and curriculum united to perform a highly entertaining musical, written by the former Leader of Performing Arts, Peter Simpson, first staged in 2000. This was a stunning show, enjoyed by all. A fantastic example of the true magic of the performing arts.
