The Helping Hands team are taking two groups of people away on holiday this year, 70 in this country and 30 abroad and we still have room to take a family camping to France from 3rd – 10th August 2014. Those excluded from holidays are often those most in need and their social exclusion is damaging both physically and emotionally. Many of the families helped by us already have never been able to give their children a short break, let alone a much-needed holiday.
We believe that a simple break away from the pressures of home brings families closer together and better able to face the future. This is particularly true for those families who can least afford a holiday. We want to help build stronger, happier families, as this is so important to us.
If you’d like to be considered for this bursary holiday, adults will need a passport but we can apply for collective passports for the child/children if they haven’t already got a valid passport. Tents are already erected at the holiday destination. For disabled guests a chalet could be made available.
