Aquacise is an alternative way to work all the muscles in the body in the sociable surroundings of PCP’s hydrotherapy pool in the Pioneering Care Centre.
Aquacise is an aerobic workout in water, whether you are looking to improve your cardiovascular endurance or rehabilitate a chronic source of pain, Aquacise can help.
Aquacise is one of only a few sports that can be undertaken by anyone, regardless of age or ability. Using the resistance of the water in exercise is like exercising with weights or machines on land, but safer.
PCP are currently offering some free taster sessions on the following dates: Wednesday 7.45-8.45pm on 7, 14 and 21 May 2014.
There are more pool times available Monday-Saturday including ladies only and parent and toddler sessions, visit PCP’s website for further information.
You don’t need a doctor’s referral to access the hydrotherapy pool as its one of the only pools in the region which is open to the public. It is ideal for people of all ages and abilities and is safe for non swimmers. The pool area and changing rooms are also fully accessible to disabled people with overhead and chair poolside hoists available on request.
Booking is essential as places are limited to 6 per session. Please contact the Pioneering Care Centre, Carers’ Way, Newton Aycliffe, DL5 4SF, tel: 01325 321234 enquiries@pcp.uk.net, www.pcp.uk.net
