The second ‘Drive In’ to be held at ROF59 activity centre by Aycliffe Radio was another fantastic sold out event. Supported by punk rockers from as far afield as Edinburgh, Manchester and Rugby.

Four live bands played during the five hour punk rock festival. Bands performing included ‘MC16’, ‘Zero Tolerance’, ‘Boilermaker’ and the headline act ‘The Clashed’.

ROF59 provided a full bar service as well as refreshments on the barbecue and the event is receiving five star reviews from those who attended.

Aycliffe Radio are organising more ‘Drive In’ events including this weekend, when local DJ’s JimJams, Carl Booth, BeatRoote and OZDJ will present an Ibiza House Party from 7-10pm. Tickets available on skiddle.com, or you may be lucky and pay on the gate.

Future events in the process of being organised include a ‘Cheesey Pop Party’ and the return of the ever popular 90s Dance Anthems. Watch Newton News and listen to Aycliffe Radio for more details.
