Tribute to Bill Cooksey by Emon Choudhary
On Wednesday 22nd May, Emon Choudhary made a special visit to Five Acres, for those who are not familiar with Emon, he won the Race Across the World, a Pride of Britain Award and he is a prolific fundraising Marathon Runner.
Following Bill’s epic Great North Run in 2023, Emon and his team had registered to assist Bill Cooksey in this year’s London Marathon to raise valuable funds for our NHS through County Durham & Darlington Foundation Trust. Sadly, Bill passed away last November, but the amazing Emon dedicated his medal to Bill’s memory #weruntogether.
We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon talking about Bill’s legacy and how Five Acres have adopted his ethos that anything is possible with positive thoughts and actions.
