The “FEEL GOOD FILM SHOW” at St Clare’s Church, on TUESDAY 9th FEB, features “LILIES OF THE FIELD”. In this film SIDNEY POITIER became the first African-American male ever to win a competitive Oscar. He plays an itinerant handyman driving through the Arizona desert who stops at a run-down farm for water for his car.
The German and Hungarian nuns who run the farm see it differently; he has been sent by God to build them a chapel. What follows makes for a beautiful, gentle Feel-Good-Film. Tea, coffee and juice will be served at 1pm, included in the £2, and the film starts at 1-15pm.
A variety of chairs are provided for your comfort, and tables so that you can bring a spot of lunch to eat while you enjoy a wonderful film in friendly company. Everyone is most welcome. Further info from Ric Hargreaves on 01325 316755.
