The “Feel Good Film Show” at St Clare’s Church on Tuesday 7th February features the 2015 British period drama “SUFFRAGETTE” Starring Carey Mulligan, Helena Bonham Carter, Brendan Gleeson, Anne-Marie Duff and Meryl Streep. Set in 1912, it tells the story of Maud Watts, a 24 year old laundress who becomes involved in the fight for women’s rights, and not just the vote, but at great cost. Light and fluffy it isn’t, it’s a powerful story set just a hundred years ago when women were fighting for equality, as they still are. Tea and coffee will be served at 1pm, included in the £2. The film starts at 1.15pm. A variety of chairs are provided for your comfort, and tables so that you can bring a spot of lunch to eat while you enjoy a great film in friendly company. Everyone is most welcome. For further details ring Ric Hargreaves 01325 316755.
