The “Feel Good Film Show” at St Clare’s Church on Tuesday 9th August features the musical/crime film “Pete Kelly’s Blues” It is set in 1927, Kansas City during the time of prohibition when gangsters ruled the world of night clubs. It stars Jack Webb, Lee Marvin, Janet Leigh, Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, Edmond O’Brien, Jane Mansfield and Andy Devine and they must be enough to make it a film worth seeing. Great songs from Peggy Lee and Ella Fitzgerald and great jazz from the bands. Tea, coffee and juice will be served at 1pm, included in the £2, children £1, and the film starts at 1.15pm. A variety of chairs are provided for your comfort, and tables so that you can bring a spot of lunch to eat while you enjoy a great film in friendly company. Everyone is most welcome.
