Dear Sir,
I have read with interest recent letters concerning the forthcoming election. Everyone’s opinion is valid and we are fortunate to live in a country and society where we can express it freely.
My comments would be:
Remember that, whoever you vote for, should they win overall, that party and their policies will be there for the next five years. Brexit is a short term problem, and will be solved . . . policies will continue.
Secondly, while the current Labour Party may not be the same one your forebears supported, the present Tory Party (and their policies) is most definitely the one they voted against!
Unfortunately Islamophobia, anti-Semitism and xenophobia is not the prerogative of any one political party; we should fight against all intolerance.
