Teesside Company Fast Track and the occupants of Fast Track House in Stockton on Tees have raised a massive £2410 towards our MRI Scanner Appeal for Darlington Memorial and Bishop Auckland Hospitals.
Company Directors Colin Hartness (pictured left) and Duncan Crocker (pictured right) were inspired to get busy fundraising when Colin’s dad Robert Hartness was part of a fundraising team at Barnard Castle Rotary. Colin said “I couldn’t just leave it to my dad who set up his very first justgiving page to do the fundraising, we’ve a lot of our staff live over in County Durham and Duncan lives in Croft, so it was important to us that we became involved.”
Duncan Crocker continued saying “Our PA Nicola Mealing (pictured centre) is passionate about fundraising so she became inspirational in organising a raffle, selling tickets to our staff and pulling in some fantastic prizes including spa breaks! Nicola and the staff in Fast Track House raised £1205.00 through the raffle and as a business, we decided to match fund that amount.”
Pat Chambers Charity Manager for CDDFT said, “The fundraising all started through Robert really, I met him at a French themed evening through Barnard Castle Rotary, he was totally passionate about being able to help us, even setting up his first ever justgiving page – he then mentioned to Colin what he was doing and everything snowballed from there. We’re totally delighted with the amount that has been raised, well above expectation and are grateful for the support of all the staff at Fast Track House.”
