I am writing to inform you of our upcoming Family Fun Day which is to be held at The Turbinia in Newton Aycliffe on 8th September 2018. The event will start at 10am and is expected to end quite a bit later.
All monies raised will be for the Great Aycliffe Cancer Support Group plus an additional 10% will be donated by the management for drinks purchased in The Back Bar.
My name is Kevin and I am a volunteer patient driver and we transport patients to and from hospitals in order that they can receive treatment. In addition we look forward to having a family member or friend of the patient, travel with the patient to give support and assistance where needed. Our drivers will stay with their patients until treatment if over and return them safely home.
As you might appreciate all this places a huge financial burden on our group and without events such as this we would be unable to offer this service to the local community.
