Greenfield have been thrilled to host a family fun Arts Foraging course which is part of the ‘Sponsor a Grownup’ initiative. The courses are part of a wider project led by Success North East which aims to engage young people and their adult relatives in physical activities. The course at Greenfield Arts has been a brilliant new venture where the families have had the opportunity to ‘forage’ for materials that they can then turn into artwork to take home. The children have been excited about choosing bits and pieces from a lovely woodland walk and they have all enjoyed getting in the fresh air and having fun as a family. Talented tutor Dawn Belshaw has enjoyed leading the course and has conjured up great ideas from energetic flower pounding to making beautiful dream-catchers which the children loved. “It’s been great to see the families getting up close to nature and working together to create lovely things from foraging, they’ve been a pleasure to work with” said Dawn The course has been such a success we are extending our reach to the Eco Centre on Wednesday 16th and 23rd November and 7th December from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm. Families who would like to know a bit more about the course should contact our friendly team on 01325 379048 or email at info@greenfieldarts.co.uk
