Exemplar Education, the UK’s biggest children’s home-learning support provider, has today announced that a record number of employees from across its six UK offices have raised the equivalent of 100,000 litres of water in support of World Vision, a relief, development and advocacy organisation which works internationally across 100 countries.

Over 100 staff have raised the equivalent of 100,000 litres of water through a number of fun and interactive initiatives which came to life in offices up and down the country. This has been Exemplar Education’s most successful fundraising year to date since its partnership with World Vision began in 2009, and with further challenges planned for later in the year, the teams are fully focussed on getting creative to support World Vision with its vital work across the globe.

So far, 2019 has seen Exemplar Education teams fundraise in style with teams celebrating the very best of British culture in the ‘How Do You Take Your Tea?’ challenge. Armed with this simple question teams got social and got to know each other better through the power of tea. Exemplar Education donated 500 litres of clean water for each employee who showed their inner caffeine enthusiast, raising a combined 54,000 litres of clean water.

In addition, a further 97 employees got active for World Vision’s Global 6K for Water Run – named in recognition of the average distance people in the developing world walk for water – where the team’s fundraising drive raised a clean water donation equivalent of 46,000 litres.

Darren Tye, National Operations Director at Exemplar Education said:

“I am immensely proud of our partnership with World Vision’s Water Aid and of our generous employees who have come together in support of such an incredible global project to bring life-changing clean water for the communities most in need. We have been proud supporters of World Vision’s vital work since 2009 when I first visited a school in Bangladesh and saw the charity’s extraordinary impact on local communities. It’s been an incredible fundraising year so far, which only means we have to raise the bar even higher as we get creative for such a great cause.”
