Woodham Academy recently held a series of celebratory assemblies across the school to recognise students’ excellent work ethic.
Certificates of Achievement were given in the following categories: Most Progress Made Since Key Stage 2, Most Improved Student, Best Effort and Best Behaviour.
Only the top 20% in each year group received awards, with many students coming forward to claim certificates in all areas. Students with 100% attendance were also recognised, which alone involved over 120 students.
The assemblies were a mixture of celebrating what the students have achieved so far, but also acknowledging students need to give maximum effort i in order to realise their full potential and achieve their aspirations. Mrs Taylor, Assist. Head Teacher, commented “It is important we recognise their hard work and acknowledge progress and achievements. It is also an opportunity for them to feel proud and be able to share their success with family and friends”..
