Greenfield Community College are delighted to be celebrating recognition of excellence amongst their teaching staff. Miss Stacey Reay, teacher of English has recently been awarded a certificate of excellence from the Pearson Education Teaching Awards. Miss Reay is a dynamic teacher who has used the surge in technology and smart phones to reach her students beyond the classroom providing students with a flipped learning approach which they control at their own time and pace. With over half a million views it is clear to see she is not only improving teaching across the school but also the rest of the country.
Miss Reay also uses technology such as twitter to support student’s revision. The students cannot praise her enough for her efforts. Ms Reay can be found on twitter at @_Stacey_English promoting students success and liaising with other leading English specialists to bring the very best English resources to the students in our community. Miss Reay believes that celebrating strong women and their achievements has been one of the key elements of her teaching and has given her female students a new found strength to step forward and take up challenges they never thought possible. This is a great achievement and we are very proud to have her at our school shaping futures and transforming lives.
