The management and staff of Playday Nursery are delighted to be graded ‘good’ in their Ofsted report. The report states the children succeed, are highly motivated and show great enthusiasm as they play, and are supported by staff who have an excellent knowledge and understanding of the children they care for.
The staff skilfully support the children in their learning. supported by a well resourced learning environment, which extends across all areas.
Planning and monitoring is very effective across the seven areas of learning and offer interesting and challenging experiences whilst meeting the children’s needs, practitioners are able to demonstrate that all children including those with additional needs are progressing well towards their early learning goals. Children show high levels of confidence and self-esteem.
The nursery has exceptional procedures in place with additional dietary requirements; all children enjoy healthy, nutritious snacks and meals provided by the nursery.
Staff demonstrate an excellent understanding of the safeguarding and welfare requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
The strong partnership with parents is a particular strength in the nursery. Parents are very active participants in their child’s education and are overwhelmingly positive about the nursery’s effectiveness.
The inspector suggested free access to outdoor play for the babies and Playday were able to show this has already been identified with plans to develop this area.
