Last week two past pupils from Greenfield Community College returned to speak to current students about progressing towards a career in art. Rebecca and Georgina Haymen are both currently studying at Teesside University and were accompanied on their visit by Richard G Sober, a teaching fellow from the University’s School of Arts and Media.
They shared examples of the work they are doing in Interior Design and Interior Architecture degrees at university. They discussed the qualities the University is looking for in a potential student, and how they could prepare for courses like theirs.
This was a great opportunity for the Year 9 Ebac group to see some past Greenfield students succeeding in creative studies, which we are sure, will lead to successful creative careers!
This was another event focusing on higher education opportunities available at Greenfield, following visits to Newcastle and Northumbria Universities recently. Greenfield aims to raise the aspirations of students and to help them continue in the career path of their choice, we hope that this most recent visit will inspire them.
It is great to see past students succeeding and willing to share their success with current students!
