Despite losing her Council seat Dorothy Bowman is still active in her community. A very concerned resident in her ward asked her to help him on discovering a convicted paedophile, released from prison after serving 9 months of a 3 year sentence, was living next door to his young family. They had contacted Councillors, our MP, landlords and others to no avail.
He and his wife were sick with worry and thought their life had come crashing down, not daring to move from the house and constantly on the watch for their children.
Dorothy acted immediately and using her experience contacted the right people to question how this could happen. The answer was that it should not have happened and the man was removed from the vicinity.
