It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas on Saturday 3rd December, at St. Clare’s Church, St Cuthberts Way, Newton Aycliffe – with no fewer than three events in one day!
Christmas Coffee Morning
The day begins with a Christmas Coffee Morning from 10.00am and a chance to enjoy refreshments, bacon buns, cakes and some festive bargains. There will be a tombola and a Christmas raffle, with the chance to win a luxury festive hamper.
There will also be a book stall and the opportunity to buy home-made cakes and handmade knitted items. Don’t forget to bring a bag!
Kidzflicks Christmas Film
Kidzflicks will be showing a Christmas film at St. Clare’s, with doors opening at 1.30pm on 3rd December. Kidzflicks takes place on the first Saturday of each month. It costs just £1 per person, with a great value tuck shop and ice cream served during the interval. For more information contact Helen McCormick on 07716 801262.
Murder Mystery Evening
The third event of the day is a Murder Mystery Evening when dastardly deeds are afoot at Talbot Manor. Bring family and friends along, enjoy a hot supper and crack the case!
Organiser/Director, Miriam Wilson, said: “It’s going to be a fun evening for people of all ages. The scene is set as a coach carrying weary travellers breaks down during a terrible storm. The nearest refuge is foreboding Talbot Manor. But all is not as it seems and someone has murder in mind…”
Tickets, costing £5, must be purchased in advance. Please contact Miriam Wilson on 01325 787078 or via email: miriamwilson1939@gmail.com
