Dear Sir,
As your readers will no doubt recall, I submitted a letter to the Newton News a couple of weeks ago, in which I stated that my wife and I had voted for Brexit. I wonder if people in this country realise, why so many did?
A few weeks ago I was speaking to an English business man who conducted business, in particular with German companies and had resided there for some years.
Many of these companies were disenchanted more and more with the concept of the European Community, with it’s stringent policies and its rules and regulations.
Apparently, many ordinary German citizens feel exactly the same way. This is also felt strongly by other countries within the European Community, such as France. As far as I could gather, their main gripe is being dictated to by unelected bureaucrats in Brussels. This is precisely why so many people here in the UK for to LEAVE.
I also feel as a Brexiteer that we will survive when we leave. After all we have overcome many problems in our past history and we are a determined and resilient country.
