Resident Aycliffe Radio Sports Presenters Darren Lowe and Lee Weldon were delighted to have England International Bowls player Dave Bolt from Sunderland as their guest on their show this week.
Dave is a current England International bowler and Team England Commonwealth Games member for the lawn bowls team in 2018. He has had a 28 year career in the sport starting when he was only 10 years old and currently is employed on a flexible basis as a delivery driver due to the time required for the sport.
Dave said after the show that “it is brilliant to have two great lads promoting sport within the local community and not just covering the elite sports such as football and cricket etc”. He added that “I hope your show goes from strength to strength and I will certainly be tuning in for future shows”.
Previous guests on Aycliffe Radio have included Referee Terry Farley; Youth Football Coaches Billy Horn and Jonathan Gallagher, as well as regular contributor Ben Potts from Newton Aycliffe FC.

Daz and Lee’s Sports show on Aycliffe Radio is broadcast live every Tuesday from 6.00pm to 8.00pm and then repeated every Sunday from 12.00pm to 2.00pm.
