Auroras Encore, who won this year’s Grand National at Aintree, will be making a special appearance on Wednesday, 24th April at Sedgefield Racecourse on the evening of the infamous Durham National. Racegoers will be able to see the winning horse and jockey parade at 7pm and will hear popular racing presenter Derek Thompson talk about his racing career.
Jill Williamson, general manager of Sedgefield Racecourse, said: “This is an amazing opportunity to be able to get up close to this year’s Grand National legend. We are so excited to welcome a horse who started its racing career here in 2007 and I do hope that people will come along to attend what is set to be a fantastic evening”.
