Dear Sir,
I was not expecting to get involved in having to make a comment in the Newton News, but it seems that people are making this election a “Brexit” election, yet from this Tory government we have seen massive cuts imposed. Take the Youth Centre alone 5 youth workers lost their jobs along with the cleaner and caretaker. The trustees decided to go it alone having to fight for every penny although the youth centre seem to be doing well now.
Going down the Brexit route will cause much more hardship for our community. The people were not told the truth about Brexit and the effects it would have. Voting Tory would be the wrong way to go and give Boris Johnson the majority he needs.
A vote for the Tory would let Farage in, we can then say goodbye to the NHS.
I will be out campaigning for the Labour Party Candidate Phil Wilson’ who has worked for this constituency since 2007, bringing big companies like “Hitachi” and the setting up of the South Durham University Technical College on the Aycliffe Business Park, preparing our young people with the best start in engineering careers.
Amongst other things he lives in the Sedgefield Constituency and continually works for the Common Good of the People of the Constituency, prepared to see through projects.
We must protect Jobs and our NHS also a fully funded Social Care System.
