Dear Sir,
George Rand, aged 5, who attends St. Mary’s RC School in Newton Aycliffe, has spent the first part of his school holidays litter picking around the town and local parks.
George aspires to be a Marine Biologist when he grows up and cares passionately about the environment he lives in.
George takes pride in knowing that every piece of trash picked means there is one less dangerous item for wild and marine life. He knows he is making a big difference to not just our community but also our planet.
George hopes to encourage more children to be mindful of our rubbish and take up the activity during the summer holidays.
