A charity team named ‘Make it Happen 2013’ led by Ali & Stu Dixon teachers at Greenfield Community College would like to say a huge thanks to Dorothy Bowman for allowing them to use her mini bus in order to transport 16 cyclists across to Workington on Thursday following a last minute change of plan when their transport of choice broke down and was irreparable. The team who are raising funds for St Teresa’s Hospice in Darlington are tackling 16 physical challenges this year in order to raise £10,000 following the care and support of mum Judith Booth who lost her battle with cancer in November last year.
The team completed the Coast to Coast cycle ride in three days and have already raised around £3500 towards their target with sponsorship money still coming in.
