Dear Sir,
I took my little dog for a walk along Ross Walk last weekend when a dog, not on a lead, bounded towards us frightening us both.
The dog would not leave us alone and the man with it did nothing to help. I had no option, but to pick my dog up into my arms and head for home as quickly as possible.
It was not a dangerous breed, just a normal white dog who scared us so much we have not been out since.
I reported the incident but it would not be necessary if people kept their dog on a lead!

You should not walk a dog off lead. Some people are scared of dogs and allergic. It is a dog owner’s responsibility to preserve these people’s right to walk around without dogs jumping all over them.
The police can seize a dog and fine you heavily if you break the leash law.
