There are other questions that need answering. I don`t know the workings of our council but I am led to believe we pay council tax to three different organisations for our visible services. Durham CC, Sedgefied Council and Great Aycliffe Town Council. I may well be wrong but when I see the grass on one side of a path being cut by one organisation and the other side by another, I question if our money is being spent wisely. Why do we pay 2 organisations when we could probably get a better deal with one. Likewise, when the chap comes round picking up litter I once said to him what about the litter on the other side of the path. He replied that it belonged to Livin and was not down to him. It is beyond belief. I have no doubt that there are many other areas where our money is being spent unwisely. So what I say is, if the Councillors who live in the area can’t sort out our spending problems then why not let someone else have a go?
