Independent Age – the long established National Charity with over 150 years history of help and support to older people – is looking to develop it’s work in the Newton Aycliffe area.
Providing a free service to older people who would benefit from a volunteer visiting them in their own home on a regular basis to spend some “quality time”. Whether it is talking about the old days or simply a game of scrabble.
Area Manager Kay White said – “Many older people have great support with practical tasks like shopping/housework. We provide that LITTLE EXTRA from local volunteers who enjoy spending time with older people. I am delighted to announce that we have two new Volunteer Visitors who are awaiting a call.
They are Julie Blackburn and Dorothy Bowman. Dorothy is already known to many for her work helping others locally.
Please give me a call if you would like to find out more on 0191 2365039”.
